Millions of people have no political home.

They love their country and want government to work in the national interest. No party is serving them. That is the opportunity in front of the SDP.

People walking towards the open doors of a brick building, still being built around them: a political home for millions.

Eight parties. None of them serving over a quarter of Brits

A heatmap of British voters on two axes, state-led to free markets and globalist to rooted, with the eight parties plotted. The rooted, active-state quadrant holds 28.7% of voters and only the SDP sits in it.

This heatmap shows the concentration of Brits across the political spectrum. Most of Britain is in the top half (rooted, patriotic). Nearly 30% of us want a competent, investing state. Only the SDP can serve them.

British Election Study Internet Panel, Wave 30 (2025), n = 30,317. Position is attitudinal, not vote share.

Only the SDP can properly diagnose the country’s woes

The old categories of left and right are broken, and only the SDP really understands why. Globalisation broke the old parties.

  • Labour

    abandoned labour

  • Conservatives

    conserved nothing

  • The legacy parties

Both chose ‘the global good’, short-termism and narrow ideologies over the good of the people and the country. Each has broken the coalition that used to elect it, and neither can face reality. Millions of their former voters simply cannot vote for them again.

  • The insurgents

Built on noise and anger, which wins attention fast but doesn't sustain. The SDP can learn from their mistakes and do it differently.

  • The SDP

No client groups, no donors to placate, no record to hide. We can start from first principles and say plainly what Britain needs.

What it will take

Six areas where the party needs to get stronger. We’ll work through one each week, together.
